FOUNDER AND HOME OF THE FIRST BULLDOGGER ASSOCIATION
                         STARTED MAY 2004
We would like to take this time to welcome you to our new website.  Our intentions when we started this organization in May 2004  were to offer an outlet for the American Pit Bull Terrier, whether registered or not,  in the state of Tennessee and surrounding areas to come and participate in some true working events for this breed as well as conformation classes and fun classes.  We had no idea that when we started this it would take off and fly like a soaring eagle.  We took a chance and look what we have created.  There is another Bulldogger Association now in Alabama and one coming soon to the state of Kentucky and word of even more growth in the future.  It seems over the years our dogs have only been known for their history of pit fighting.

The American Pit Bull Terrier has a very high drive to work and a very eagerness to please his/her owner.  They are always wanting to play or tug as a toy with involvement and praise from their master.  The APBT is a very loyal pet, but requires a owner which will give them direction, as they have known to be hardheaded.  This breed certainly isn't for everyone and I do not encourage people to own one until he/she has done all of their research and learned the pros and cons of owning this breed of canine.

This is where we put our thinking caps on and decided to go out on a limb and try something different as an organization.  We knew these dogs loved to work in just about any capacity if given the chance.  We felt there were enough heads that we could come up with positive working events for our dogs to participate in as well as conformation to show the agility and versatility of this great breed.  We wanted events that would be fun and fair for the owners as well as the dogs and wanted the supporters of this organization to design the rules and regulations.  One thing we wanted to recognize first and foremost is that without supporters there would be no Bulldogger Association and decided to continue to allow the attendants to choose what this organization does or don't do and to keep the respect for them number one.  Over the years the supporters have been left out.  We do not want to forget what keeps our organization going and growing.......and THAT IS YOU AND YOUR DOGS!

Since we first started this organization we have added several events and divided them up into categories if warranted to allow the particpation of puppies, as well as youngsters and to keep it fair.  We offer a wide variety of conformation classes and working events .

We put most of the proceeds made back into awards which are given out at our shows.  They are quality awards which include, trophies, large ribbons, regular ribbons and participant ribbons.  If you enter ANY of the events listed above and your dog doesn't place you recieve a beautiful participant rosette ribbon and don't leave without something in your hand, showing you were there and did your best.

With all of that said you can proceed through our website and see how these events are scored along with the rules of each.  There are many many photos which will be placed on the website and if you have a picture or two you would like to share please email it to us and write on it what group/event you were in and the name of your dog so we can post it promptly.
